Long description This widget includes a progress bar in your forms or documents, displaying also the partial/total amount of data transferred and a variable transfer rate.
It uses two parameters to get more customizable: "url": This parameter gives the widget an alternative location where to download the xml from (by default it gets the xml in the ebd server). This xml has the current total and partial size of the transfer, and every time we get it we update the bar with its info. This is the standard use of this widget, mostly used when uploading files on a request. The xml file is called every 300 miliseconds. "units": To use normally together with the first, this parameter changes the units displayed by the bar. By default these units are the bytes/KB/MB that have been transferred (in the left) and are transferred per second (in the right). This is intended to be used when performing requests to server, uploading files from a form or so. But, in case you customize your own url to serve the xml info, you might be monitoring processes that are not requests (with data/bytes transfers) but are actually copying or processing other document's pieces, like lines or so: this is when you can specify the units been processed and are likely to be displayed in your bar. |
